Flemington's local interior painters. Workers' cottages and terraces done properly since 1987.
Flemington's workers' cottages and terraces need honest preparation: plaster repair, timber trim and tidy detail work. That is the standard we have kept since 1987. We have painted Melbourne interiors for more than three decades: walls, ceilings, doors and apartments, all with a fixed written quote.
Size and how much preparation the walls and ceilings need set the price, so we quote in person, free and in writing. Our Melbourne painting cost guide has typical room and whole-house ranges if you want a number first. See the cost guide →

Yes. Landlords and agents use us for end-of-lease repaints, and a neutral pre-sale repaint is one of the cheapest ways to lift a home before it goes to market. Written quote up front, place left clean.
Call or use the form below and we will arrange a time to look at the rooms in person. The quote is free, fixed and in writing, and we are fully insured.

Between Racecourse Road and the river, the single-fronted cottages have old plaster and timber trim, and this room shows how that looks once it is done. Preparation comes before any colour. Cracks and dents are repaired, joins are caulked and the timber is sanded. Then the ceiling, cornice and walls go on, with enamel on the woodwork.

Modernize did a full interior repaint of our Yarraville weatherboard Lachlan quoted fairly, the team turned up on time, prepped the old flaking trim properly and were spotless cleaning up. Walls look brand new. Wouldn't use anyone else.
Thanks to the Modernize team who recently painted our home and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. The communication and attention to detail helped make the process so much easier. Timelines and expectations were met - which is super important during a renovation. Would be happy to employ then again
The team at Modernize Solutions painted the house interior and exterior and we were truly amazed on the transformation and what a fantastic job on completion. Their professionalism, friendly nature and eye for detail made it effortless and a pleasure to deal them.
