Treat it as possible on any older home. We test suspect layers on doors, skirtings and window frames before sanding, and where lead is present we use wet methods and containment. It rarely changes the price much, but it has to be handled properly.

The plaster is old, so cracks and dents are repaired and sanded before anything gets painted. Then the ceiling, cornice and walls go on, and the doors and frames are finished in enamel.
