Spotswood interior painters. Cottages and bungalows since 1987.
Spotswood's period cottages have older plaster and timber that need honest preparation before a coat goes on. That is where our time goes, and it is why the finish lasts. We have painted Melbourne interiors for more than three decades: walls, ceilings, doors and apartments, all with a fixed written quote.
Size and how much preparation the walls and ceilings need set the price, so we quote in person, free and in writing. Our Melbourne painting cost guide has typical room and whole-house ranges if you want a number first. See the cost guide →
The Edwardian timber cottages and bungalows on the small streets between the station and The Strand. Older plaster and trim need honest preparation, and that is the part we never skip.
Yes. Spotswood is a small suburb and plenty of the work is a couple of rooms, a hallway or a set of doors. No job too small to quote properly.
Completely. We look at the rooms in person, put the quote in writing and there is no obligation. Fully insured on every job.
Ceiling painting for Spotswood's period cottages. Older plaster ceilings checked, cracks filled and stains sealed before the topcoat.
Door painting for Spotswood's cottages near the station and the Scienceworks end. Old timber doors sanded back properly rather than painted over.
Window frame painting for Spotswood's period cottages. Timber sashes painted shut years ago are freed up, sanded and finished in enamel.
Apartment painting in the newer Spotswood blocks. Building access and lift bookings organised before the first drop sheet goes down.
The small streets between the station and The Strand are full of Edwardian timber cottages and bungalows, with picture rails, sash windows and older plaster like this room. Honest preparation is the part we never skip. Cracks and dents are repaired, timber is sanded, then the cornice, walls and enamel woodwork go on.
Modernize Solutions has painted Spotswood cottages and homes for more than three decades. We are a family business based in Braybrook, a few minutes up the road. Spotswood's period homes have older plaster and timber that need honest preparation, and that is where our time goes. The same people quote and paint the job. Fully insured, free written quotes.
Modernize did a full interior repaint of our Yarraville weatherboard Lachlan quoted fairly, the team turned up on time, prepped the old flaking trim properly and were spotless cleaning up. Walls look brand new. Wouldn't use anyone else.
Thanks to the Modernize team who recently painted our home and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. The communication and attention to detail helped make the process so much easier. Timelines and expectations were met - which is super important during a renovation. Would be happy to employ then again
The team at Modernize Solutions painted the house interior and exterior and we were truly amazed on the transformation and what a fantastic job on completion. Their professionalism, friendly nature and eye for detail made it effortless and a pleasure to deal them.
