West Melbourne's local interior painters. Terraces, warehouse conversions and apartments since 1987.
West Melbourne homes range from heritage terrace rows to converted warehouses, and each needs a different preparation approach. We bring more than three decades of inner-city painting experience to every job. We have painted Melbourne interiors for more than three decades: walls, ceilings, doors and apartments, all with a fixed written quote.
Ceiling height, the state of the plaster and how much trim there is set the price, so we quote in person, free and in writing. Our Melbourne painting cost guide has typical room and whole-house ranges if you want a number first. See the cost guide →
The Victorian terraces around Hawke Street and Stanley Street, the warehouse conversions closer to Spencer Street, and the apartments in between. Old plaster is filled and sanded before paint, and the big open walls in a conversion are rolled in one run so they dry as one even surface.
Yes. We carry $20M public liability, can give the building manager the paperwork before we start, and protect shared entries and stairwells while we work. Low-odour water-based paint means the neighbours are not bothered.
Call or use the form below and we will arrange a time to look at the rooms in person. The streets are narrow and permit-zoned, so we sort parking with you at the quote. The quote is free, fixed and in writing.

Around Hawke Street and Stanley Street, the Victorian terraces have the cornices, high ceilings and sash windows of this room. Old plaster is filled and sanded before paint. Closer to Spencer Street, the warehouse conversions have big open walls, which are rolled in one run so they dry as one even surface.
Modernize Solutions is a family painting business based in Braybrook, about ten minutes down Dynon Road from West Melbourne. We have painted homes across the inner west since 1987. The terraces, warehouse conversions and apartments here all need the surface prepared properly before a coat goes on, and that is where our time goes. Fully insured, owner operated, and every job quoted free and in writing.
Quick to respond, competitive on price, and incredibly helpful with our timeline and job needs. We had a last-minute painting that needed to be done before settling our property, and the work was done perfectly. Went above and beyond to get it sorted.
We got Modernize Solutions to paint our place and they were excellent. Easy to deal with from the first quote right through to the end. Theyd left everything clean and were easy to deal with. The finish looks fantastic. Highly recommend them.
Thanks to the modernize team, recently painted our house in Footscray. The quote was fair and overall they did really good professional job! Will be using them again!
